This setup has been tested with a PROSIMU T1000AL with 4 x PRS 200-150mm using a VR Headset. I'm explaining each of the parameters in the description below.
In order to adjust the SRS parameters I was looking at a realistic feeling as in a real race car. The feeling I'm getting with these parameters are not yet perfect to me but when I disconnect the PRS 200 I really feel that something is missing ! in addition the platform is not bouncing as I was feeling it the first time I tried it, the braking has a quite good feeling, but sometime when one wheel is offroad it is moving a bit too much. I'm using the ferrari 488 GT3 most of the time so I did the tuning with this car
Let's start :
Max angle : reduced to 85% as I'm using PRS200-150mm which is mainly for flight simulation but too big for car racing.
Overall smoothing : 0 as I'm managing the smoothing for each parameters. I'm increasing it to 50% when other people are trying the platform for the first time
Reaction speed : Going down to 70% or even 85% is delaying a bit too much what I was feeling so I set it up to 100%
Pitch & Roll : Values are quite small because with higher values the platform is jumping too much when my wheel is at the limit of the track or goes a bit outside. With small values you can still feel the track but less bouncing
Yaw : useless as 4 actuators
Lat G-sway : Quite important to feel the corners. I put the maximum then lower it until the patform was not moving too much
Long surge Accel & Long surge Decel : I put it more decel then accel because in a race car you really feel the Decel and much less the accel
Vertical G-Heave : Going higher doesn't feel good, as the car seems to float
Engine haptic : No more than 1, it is even too much. What is strange with SRS is when the engine is OFF but one gear is engaged the platform is still vibrating !! I think the ACC is not managing this parameter correctly
Racing parameters : Useless for a 4 actuators. I left it as is
Pich & Roll : Going lower will make the platform moving too much and being not realistic at all
Yaw : useless for the 4 actuators
Sway : Going lower will make the platform moving too much and being not realistic at all
Surge : Quite high as I'm managing the surge with vertical actuators. If this value is going down the platform with oscillate front/back on every strong break
Heave : Going lower will make the platform moving too much and being not realistic at all
Traction Loss : I didn't touche this one yet, so I don't know if it has an effect on the vectical actuator. if not then it is useless
Advanced parameters : I didn't changed these parameters
Sway (vertical actuators effects) : This is a compromise to feel the G-Force without feeling too much the inclination of the platform
Surge (vertical actuators effects) : The most important for me to really feel the braking. I will soon combine this actuator with a belt attached to the ground so I will be tight on the seat for each breaking
Traction loss : I don't know how it is managed in SRS but combining this effect (no more than 20) with the feeling I have in the wheel make me feel the traction loss a bit
Of course any comment to improve is welcome
Hi, I don't think so because :
- The mm/s (up to 2G with Prosimu) will not be the same so the effects will be much attenuated and you will need to adjust all the values
- I don't know the Thanos AMC card but it seems quite small board to drive high current for the actuators
- Does your base is a T1000AL ? because the tuning depends a lot on distances between actuators : Left/Right and Front/Back... The closer, the bigger angle of the platform for the same vertical movement
In any case, you can try the settings and adjust them depending on your hardware ;)
Hi top your settings thank you I have SFX 150 with Thanos AMC card Can I follow your settings?
