ATTENTION: This motion profile was created on a DOF Reality platform that did not have the SFU gear box upgrade. If you have a SFU upgraded DOF Reality platform, you will likely need to adjust the Effects Slider and Smoothing Effect settings.
Below you will find tunings for Prepare3D. These tunings utilize multiple sessions of captured from many of the aircraft included in the sim. Specific tunings are included for the following: Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning, Robinson R22, Sikorsky MH-60K Black Hawk 160th, Lockheed Martin AC-130H - USAF, Alabeo Extra 300s Halcones, and Milviz P-38L Ruth/Eveline. The General tuning should be utilized if the aircraft selected does not have a specific tuning listed. Helicopter tunings are highly recommended as they are tuned specifically for their capabilities. These tunings are found at the bottom of the page.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE NEGATIVE MAX TELEMETRY VALUES
Prepare3D's telemetry output for Yaw and Sway are opposite of what is found in the majority of flight simulators. Thus, the Yaw and Sway axis has been inverted in these tunings for use with motion platforms. The motion will follow that off the aircraft as represented in the sim. However, if the user wants to emulate potential g-forces by having the Yaw and Sway axis utilized as Prepar3D outputs, simply change the negative Max Telemetry values for Yaw and Sway to a positive value.
IMPORTANT SHAKER TUNING
RPM output is utilized by Prepar3D. To increase immersion, all other values have been reduced to zero except for Engine. This tuning is a personal preference; however, utilizing a value of 5 for Engine will match the vibration cadence found in the sim.

Prepar3D General Tuning
Notes: General tuning to focuses on Pitch and Roll performance as primary effects. Yaw and Sway axis have been inverted by utilizing a negative Max Telemetry to emulate aircraft motion. Yaw value significantly increased to minimize telemetry spikes when performing a turn. Platform Smoothing increased in all tunings to 75 to smooth motion during flight.
Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning
Notes: Long G Surge Accel slider increased and to represent acceleration capabilities of the aircraft. Sway slider reduced and Max Telemetry increased to smooth motion during high speed maneuvers.
Lockheed Martin AC-130H - USAF
Notes: All Max Telemetries have been significantly reduced due to the performance characteristics of the aircraft.
Alabeo Extra 300s Halcones
Notes: Increased Smoothing to 85. All Max Telemetries have been significantly increased due to the aerobatic performance characteristics of the aircraft. Important Note: Use this tuning for any aerobatic type of aircraft.
Milviz P-38L Ruth/Eveline
Notes: Sway Max Telemetry increased to adjust for performance characteristics of the aircraft.
Robinson R22
Notes: Tuning fundamentally balanced for helicopters. Pitch and Roll slightly reduced. Yaw tuned for normal flight maneuvers (WARNING: Extreme Yaw movements via rudders will result in extreme platform movement). Sway, Surge, and Heave all balanced for helicopter telemetry.
Sikorsky MH-60K Black Hawk 160th
Notes: Tuning fundamentally balanced for helicopters. Pitch and Roll slightly reduced. Yaw tuned for normal flight maneuvers (WARNING: Extreme Yaw movements via rudders will result in extreme platform movement). Sway, Surge, and Heave all balanced for helicopter telemetry. Important Note: This tuning could be utilized for the Sikorsky CH-53E; however, testing was not performed due to complex cold-startup procedure.
I have a DOF H6 and I have FSX (not Prepar3d).
I am interested in FSX's included R22 helicopter.
Are the tuning values for R22 in this thread good for use with FSX?
