ATTENTION: This motion profile was created on a DOF Reality platform that did not have the SFU gear box upgrade. If you have a SFU upgraded DOF Reality platform, you will likely need to adjust the Effects Slider and Smoothing Effect settings.
Below are the tunings for X-Plane 11. The tunings include telemetry capture from the Beechcraft Baron 58, MD-82 "Mad Dog", Boeing 737-800, Boeing 747-400, King Air, Cirrus Vision SF50 Personal Jet, Sikorsky S-76C, Cessna 172 SP Skyhawk. The General Tuning will work for the other various aircraft, but utilizing a similar aircraft profile or individual tunings is highly recommended.
NOTE ON BRAKING
Ground telemetry for braking on certain aircraft can lead to spikes in heave and surge resulting in jarring movement. Max Telemetry has been adjusted to minimize extreme shaking, but smooth braking when landing is recommended to reduce additional spikes in telemetry.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE NEGATIVE MAX TELEMETRY VALUES
X-Plane 11's telemetry output for Yaw and Sway are opposite of what is found in the majority of flight simulators. Thus, the Yaw and Sway axis has been inverted in these tunings for use with motion platforms. The motion will follow that off the aircraft as represented in the sim. However, if the user wants to emulate potential g-forces by having the Yaw and Sway axis utilized as X-Plane 11 outputs, simply change the negative Max Telemetry values for Yaw and Sway to a positive value.
Tuned on a DOF Reality P6, but will work for all DOF Reality models. For more information on tuning, see the SRS 2.0 Motion Tuning Guide here.
*** SCROLL DOWN for a shared tuning for the (Boeing 737-800 / Boeing 747-400 / MD82 "Mad Dog"), a shared tuning for the (Beechcraft Baron B58 / King Air C90), and individual tunings for the Cirrus Vision SF50 Personal Jet and Sikorsky S76C Helicopter. ***
*** A Shaker Tuning for X-Plane 11 has been included at the bottom. ***

X-Plane 11 General Tuning
Notes: General tuning to focuses on Pitch and Roll performance as primary effects. All effects have been averaged against telemetry values from various aircraft. Platform Smoothing increased in all tunings to 80 to smooth motion during flight.
Boeing 737-800 / Boeing 747-400 / MD82 "Mad Dog"
Notes: These three aircraft share the same tuning as telemetry values are extremely similar.
Cessna 172 SP Skyhawk
Notes: This tuning has been adjusted for the telemetry performance of the Cessna Skyhawk and can be utilized as the baseline for the Cessna 172 variants.
Beechcraft Baron B58 / King Air C90
Notes: These two aircraft share the same tuning as telemetry values are extremely similar.
Cirrus Vision SF50 Personal Jet
Notes: All Max Telemetries increased due to increased performance of the personal jet. Telemetry output can still result in spikes to extreme capabilities of the aircraft. Smooth movement is recommended.
Sikorsky S76C Helicopter
Notes: Pitch and Roll increased based on telemetry outputs to compensate for angular flight with helicopters. Yaw Effect Slider and Max Telemetry adjusted for stationary rotation in flight. All other values adjusted based on normal takeoff, flight, and landings.
X-Plane 11 Shaker Tuning
Notes: Engine reduced to 6 to reduce excessive pulsing of engine RPM. All other effects disabled to increase immersive during flight. See the Shaker Tuning Guide for additional details on adjusting settings for shaker systems: https://www.simracingstudio.com/forum/shake-profiles/srs-2-0-shake-tuning-guide
Awesome! Glad I could help a little. :)
Hello Jeff, thanks for your excelent work.
I am using SRS app 2.5.0.1, run Xplane latest version 11.50 v3. and a DOF reality H3. I am facing some strange behaviour with my YAW axis and wonder if I made any mistake in my setup. I opened a ticket already and was told that the platform acts like designed and a should look into this setup guide.
In my profile I used the parameters like suggested above. 1. I recognized that I don't have the ADVANCED options shown.
This is my situation: Starting my flight with a Cessna 172 SP Skyhawk at EDDM (Munich) runway 08 R . Airplane heading is 80 degrees. Pitch and Roll parameters are OK. Yaw ist not ok.
Rudders are in nutral position. The Yaw axis of the plattform should be 0 Degrees pointing straight, instead the Yaw axis is pointing way to to right (almost full).
If I open the telemetry dialog that I see that Yaw contains 80 and YAW angle contains 260 (0pposite of 80). If I turn the ariplane into the opposite direction heading = 260 degrees , the yaw axis is changing to the middle position and than flips back to pointing to the right. If I look at the telemetry data: Yaw = 261 and Yaw angle is 359.
For me it looks like that ther is something wrong with the Yaw calculation in Xplane. The Yaw axis when moving on the runway when using the rudders should follow but it wont, also durin flight Yaw is not follwing the rudder deflection.
Any idea what could be wrong ? I know my plattform behaved diffently a couple of weeks ago.
Regards Alex
Hi Jeff, thanks so much for the guide! Do you have any recommendations on bass shaker settings?
@Jeff Weaver . What differences are there for the C172? It's not included in the above examples.
Hey Jeff, why don't I see the option "Enhanced G-Forces" at the bottom of my tuning window? I installed the latest beta.
Wow I'm indebted to you Jeff, saves me so much work when I really don't know what I'm doing..... Yet! 😊 I'll try the settings on some of my payware crafts too (I have lots).
